Just What I See: Artist Spotlight

Greg Schmigel recently interviewed me for a feature on his blog Just What I See. Thanks, Greg, for the feature:
“From where I stand, Australia has always seemed pretty far away. But after meeting a young man who goes by the name Misho on Flickr, (actually a nickname for his birthname, Michael) well, Australia seems a whole lot closer than it used to. I first was exposed to Misho’s work via an e-mail from friend. In an instant it was clear that Misho has a special gift for finding that ’decisive moment’ – the imminent moment we all strive to capture with street photography. With just an iPhone in hand, Misho effortlessly combines black and white style with timeless imagery and subject matter in many of his shots (like this compelling shot for example) — which allows the viewer to step back thirty, maybe fourty years in time. It’s a pleasure to call Misho a friend — even if he is more than 9,000 miles away — and even more of a pleasure to have the opportunity to share his iPhone photography with you all.”
Please check out Greg’s site, his street iphoneography is of the highest quality. He was also one of 14 runners up in he EYE’EM award and will have his work exhibited at the upcoming eyephoneography exhibition in Spain.
